Doctrinal Basis of PKA

The philosophy, goals, objectives and activities of PKA are based on God’s revealed Word to mankind inspired by the Holy Spirit, which is the Bible. We believe that the Bible has provided all that is sufficient for faith and is the final authority on all matters of doctrine and practice of our faith. The doctrinal basis of the fellowship is the fundamental truths of Christianity, as revealed in the Holy Scripture which include:

1. The unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.

2. The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement.

3. The divine inspiration and the infallibility of the canonized Holy Scripture as originally given and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

4. The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

5. Redemption from guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death (as our representative and substitute) of Jesus Christ, and the incarnate Son of God.

6. The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and the ascension to the right hand of God the Father.

7. The mediation between God and man only through the Lord Jesus Christ.

8. The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the life and death of Jesus Christ effective to the individual sinner, granting him repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ.

9. The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith alone.

10. The indwelling work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.

11. The one holy universal church which is the body of Christ to which all believers belong.

12. The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
